About ACo. Painting

Who is ACo. Painting?

ACo. Painting is a residential and commercial painting contractor based in Meridian, Mississippi, owned and operated by Jase Clearman. The company is located at 5145 Mount Olive Dr., Meridian, MS 39301, and can be reached at (601) 479-2905.

What areas does ACo. Painting serve?

ACo. Painting serves Meridian, Laurel, Hattiesburg, Brandon, and Madison in Mississippi, plus Tuscaloosa, Alabama — covering Lauderdale, Jones, Forrest, Rankin, and Madison counties and Tuscaloosa County. Meridian-area work carries no travel charge. If your project sits outside that list, call and ask; we travel for the right job.

Is ACo. Painting licensed and insured?

Yes. ACo. Painting is licensed and insured. We carry current liability insurance and keep a Certificate of Insurance on file, and we pull the licenses and permits each job calls for, including the state licensing thresholds that apply to larger residential jobs and to commercial work. We will provide a copy of our Certificate of Insurance on request, and commercial clients can have it sent directly to their property manager or general contractor.

Does ACo. Painting do commercial work or just houses?

Both. ACo. Painting works on residential homes and on commercial properties including offices, retail, churches, warehouses, and industrial facilities. Commercial capabilities include epoxy floors, parking lot striping, E.I.F.S., and sandblasting in addition to painting.

Who will actually be on my job?

Jase Clearman is the owner and is directly involved in the work and in every estimate. You are talking to the person responsible for the job, not a salesperson who hands it off.

Estimates and pricing

How do I get a painting estimate in Meridian, MS?

Request one through the estimate form on acopainting.net or call (601) 479-2905. We schedule an appointment, walk the project with you, and send a written itemized estimate. Estimates are free and carry no obligation.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. ACo. Painting provides free, no-obligation written estimates for residential and commercial projects. There is no charge for the visit and no pressure to book.

How much does it cost to paint a house?

There is no honest flat number, because price is driven by square footage, surface condition, how much prep and repair is needed, the number of colors and sheens, and whether ceilings and trim are included. A heavily peeling exterior costs far more to prepare than a sound one of the same size. Our estimates are itemized so you can see prep, materials, and labor as separate lines.

Why are painting quotes so different from each other?

Almost always because of prep and coats. A quote that assumes a light scuff and one finish coat will always be cheaper than one that includes washing, scraping, caulking, priming, and two finish coats. Compare the written scope line by line, not just the bottom number.

Do you require a deposit?

Deposit and payment terms are stated in writing on your estimate before any work begins, so there are no surprises. You approve the scope and the terms together.

How the work gets done

Do you include primer in your quotes?

Yes. Primer is part of ACo. Painting's scope on every job. Our standard specification is primer plus two finish coats. We do not quote a project that leaves priming to someone else.

What paint brands do you use?

ACo. Painting defaults to Sherwin-Williams products and Sherwin-Williams color matching. If you prefer a different brand or a specific product line, tell us during the estimate and we will price the job with it.

How much prep work do you actually do?

Prep is the majority of the labor on most jobs. Interiors get furniture moved and covered, floors and fixtures masked, holes filled, gaps caulked, and repairs spot-primed. Exteriors get washed, scraped, sanded, repaired, caulked, and primed before any finish coat. Skipping these steps is what causes a repaint to fail early.

Do you protect furniture, floors, and landscaping?

Yes. Interior work includes moving and covering furniture and masking floors and fixtures. Exterior work includes covering landscaping, walkways, windows, and vehicles. Cleanup happens at the end of each day, not just at the end of the job.

How long will my project take?

A single interior room is usually one day. A whole-house interior repaint runs two to five working days. Exterior repaints typically take three to seven working days depending on size and how much prep is required. Cabinet refinishing runs three to five days. Your written estimate includes a firm day count.

Do you work in the winter?

Yes. Interior work runs year-round. Exterior work continues through mild winter stretches, but we check overnight lows against each product's minimum application temperature and reschedule rather than apply a coating that will not cure properly.

After the job

Do you stand behind your work?

Yes. ACo. Painting's position is that the job is not finished until you are satisfied with it. Specific coverage terms for your project are stated on your written estimate, and any product warranty from the manufacturer applies on top of that.

What if I find something wrong after you finish?

Call Jase directly at (601) 479-2905. We do a walkthrough with you at completion to build a punch list, and if something turns up afterward we come back and look at it.

How soon can I use the room after you paint?

Most interior spaces are usable the same day. The paint film continues to cure for a couple of weeks after it feels dry, so avoid scrubbing walls or taping anything to fresh paint during that window. Cabinets and epoxy floors have longer cure times, and we give you those specifics on site.

Do you offer touch-up paint when you finish?

Yes. We leave labeled touch-up material and record the color and sheen for your project so future repairs match without guesswork.
